Jurassic World’s Colin Tervorrow has been speaking about some of the leaked plot details.Speaking to the folks at Slash Film, the director confirmed the following
- Jurassic World takes place in a fully functional park on Isla Nublar.
- It has elements of a biological preserve, a safari, a zoo, and a theme park
- It’s a luxury resort with hotels, restaurants, nightlife and a golf course
- Lots of dinosaurs, and you can get closer to them than ever before
- Chris Pratt’s character is trying to figure out the limits of the relationship between highly intelligent creatures and human beings
- New dinosaur confirmed – Created to fulfill a corporate mandate—they wanted something bigger, louder, with more teeth
- New dino doesn’t have a snake’s head or octopus tentacles. It’s a dinosaur, created in the same way the others were, but now the genetics have gone to the next level.
One of the other things he said (and the full interview is worth a read, so hit the link up top) was
“We imagined a teenager texting his girlfriend with his back to a T-Rex behind protective glass”. Whatever about anything else, including Starlord trained dinosaurs, this imagery is just jaw dropping. Seriously, how awesome does that scene sound! In case your imagination isn’t working, we’ve got out the Photoshop and had a go at imagining this particular scene. Obviously our Photoshop isn’t working that well either, but it should get the mind ticking. If not seek a doctor.
