With cameras set to start rolling on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 in the coming weeks, word has reached us that the hockey mask wearing vigilante Casey Jones, a beloved fan favorite of the franchise, will be making his mark on the sequel, with Variety revealing that Stephen Amell, best known for playing another fan favorite vigilante with his title role on DC Comics t.v.show Arrow, will be strapping on Jones' golf bag full of sports equipment turned weapons.

I'm a huge fan Casey Jone fan to this day (there's just something undeniably awesome about a guy cracking wise while cracking a guy across the head with a baseball bat), and Amell's work on Arrow proves he has an endless well of charm, and can make the chessier aspect of the property work extremely well. The casting seems to rely upon his chemistry with Megan Fox, reprising her role as April O'Neill, so expect the sequel to play up the pair's relationship to the nth degree.
Directed by Earth to Echo's David Green, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 is expected to hit our screens June 3rd 2016.
