Some terrible news came out of California last night night, when it was revealed that Harrison Ford crashed his plane, a single engine PT-22, onto a golf course in Venice, California after a mechanical failure. The actor was said to be fully conscious when paramedics arrived, and was hospitalised where his condition was upgraded from critical to moderate. In hours following his hospitilastion, his son Ben has tweeted that, thankfully, the actor was in a stable condition.
At the hospital. Dad is ok. Battered, but ok! He is every bit the man you would think he is. He is an incredibly strong man.

Following that, Ford's publicist issued the following statement:
“Harrison was flying a WW2 vintage plane today which had engine trouble upon take off. He had no other choice but to make an emergency landing, which he did safely. He was banged up and is in the hospital receiving medical care. The injuries sustained are not life threatening, and he is expected to make a full recovery.”
