A Doctor Strange movie was always rumoured to be on the cards for Marvel Studios, but when his name was dropped in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, it was only a matter of time till the wheels would start turning on a big screen adventure for the Master of the Mystic Arts. Now a director has been found, with Sinister and The Exorcism of Emily Rose director Scott Derrickson coming on board, announcing his appointment with the below picture on Twitter. With it's mixture of the magic and the occult, it will be something different from Marvel Studio's, but they got us to accept a giant walking, talking tree and machine gun wielding raccoon with Guardians of the Galaxy, so Doctor Strange won't be much of stretch, especially with a director who can inject a chilling atmosphere into the project like Derrickson.
No release date, or cast, for Doctor Strange has been announced as of yet.
