Now in it's fourth year, the gang at local production company AClique return to the Gate Cinema with a bunch of new short movies made over the last twelve months, with the focus this year on Aclique's own brand of comedy, as opposed to the action oriented movies of previous years.
Speaking of this years productions, director Donal O'Shea said, "This year we had a very intermittent shooting schedule with competition with college, work and location being more uncooperative lugs than usual. So we brought in new people and adjusted our focus on other aspects in our storytelling. Definitely a more down to earth vibe in a couple of our movies however those expecting our usual AClique brand of surreal comedy won’t be disappointed. What this approach afforded us was collaborating with new performers who added immense value to our experience making the movies."
Among the line up look out for ‘I Think I’m A Witch Doctor’, the follow up to ‘I Think I’m A Racist’, a documentary about a former Hollywood producer entitled ‘Movie Sorcery’ and a modern fairy tale ‘Sleeping Pretty’ among others. At good time is always promised at these events, and is the prefect chance to catch some serious Cork film making talent.
The screening takes place on Sunday November 2nd at 11:30 am at the Gate Cinema, North Main
Street. Admission is free.
