Originally set for an October release this year, Paranormal Activity 5 has been pushed back till March 13th 2015. And to go along with the change in release date, the fifth proper installment (after the spin off Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones) of the found footage franchise has officially been titled Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension. To me, this points to the movie continuing on the crazy and absolutely wonderful note The Marked Ones ended on. That movie was the shake up the franchise need to avoid going stale, and hopefully The Ghost Dimension (which sounds like a subtitle you would find on an 80's horror sequel) will continue in that new direction. Obviously, the date change is a concentrated effort by Paramount to turn around the disappointing returns they've experienced as the franchise has moved forward after the first movie.
