The Intern, starring Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway began filming earlier today in the big apple. The movie (a comedy in case you didn’t know) is being directed by Nancy Meyers. The plot revolves around a 70 year old widower who has discovered that retirement isn’t all its cracked up to be, so he becomes a senior intern at an online fashion site run by….have a guess….yes. The one who helped Batman in The Dark Knight Rises.
While the idea isn’t exactly too original, it will be interesting to see the chemistry that the two stars will have. I’d hazard a guess (I normally do) that it should be pretty good as it’s hard to not to imagine Hathaway having chemistry with anyone…..ok..well that James Franco Oscars thing aside. I guess at this stage we should more or less give up the fight for De Niro to do something with some serious weight behind it!
The movie is pencilled in for a release date worldwide on September 25th 2015.
