Following on from the announcement that Sinister director Scott Derrickson will be exploring the more mystical side of the Marvel Universe with Doctor Strange, word has reached us that Prometheus co-writer will be tackling the script for the Sorcerer Supreme. A brilliant neurosurgeon who, in a quest to heal his hands after an accident, is et on the path to mastering the mystic arts, Doctor Strange is yet another out of left field choice for Marvel Studios in their ongoing quest to expand their cinematic universe. Johnny Depp was once rumoured to be taking the lead role, but more names are said to have entered the mix, chiefly Tom Hardy, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Jared Leto. No release date has been given yet.
