We got our first look at the Fury poster yesterday, and now we have the first trailer for David Ayer's World War II action thriller. The poster hinted at a more sombre tone than we were expecting (Ayer is the man who directed the bombastic End of Watch and Sabotage after all), and the trailer follows through, a host of ominous drum beats and melancholy strings playing staying with us throughout. Drama is the focus here, lamenting on the harsh realities of war, but the little action we do see is fantastically staged. My hopes are high for this one.
Released: 24th October (IRL/U.K.)/ 14th November (U.S.)
Synopsis: As the Allies make their final push in the European Theater, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.
