Get out your baby oil again. The sequel to Magic Mike, aptly called Magic Mike XXL has started shooting. That’s according to the movies cinematographer, Peter Andrews, who tweeted the following image before he took to the skies above Myrtle Beach.
Channing Tatum’s character finds himself on a road trip with the other strippers and you can probably imagine the rest. While Tatum is back in a thong, Matthew McConaughey has still to sign on the dotted line, and with less than a year to release (July 1st USA / August 7th IRELAND & UK) somebody would want to give him a pen really quickly. The other notable absentee is Steven Soderbergh, who will not be sitting in the director’s chair this time round, but will be involved with editing and production. In his place Gregory Jacobs, who has worked as an AD with Soderbergh on a countless movies including Che, Oceans and The Informant, will be calling the shots!
