Coming our way later this year, Ridley Scott returns to space for The Martian, based on the best selling novel by Andy Weir, and our first proper look at the movie comes in the form of this pretty innovative and incredibly fun viral video which introduces us to the cast, including Matt Damon, Kate Mara, Jessica Chasten, and Micheal Pena, as the crew of the Ares 3 gets ready for its historic mission to Mars, which will prove to be quite eventful for Damon’s Mark Watney as he becomes stranded on the red planet.
Chock full of charm, and providing fun facts about the crew, this has to be greatest piece of viral marketing I’ve seen in a very long time, and probably Scott's best use of the medium since Peter Weyland’s TED talk used to promote Prometheus.
