Ant-Man had its red carpet premiere last night, and to celebrate the event, Marvel have shared online the first clip from the movie, giving us a first hand look at the shrinking effects used to bring the size changing hero to life.
I really like the effects used here, especially that everything from Scott Lang’s (Paul Rudd) perspective when he’s ant sized moves in slow motion, and you can see dust particles floating in the air. It gives the scenes a really fun and interesting look. Ant-Man was always going to be a hard sell, even after the Edgar Wright debacle, but, with early word being pretty positive, Peyton Reed seems to have pulled it all together.
Released: 17th July
Synopsis: Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, master thief Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.
