Slow West is a movie that wasn't really on my radar until today. Don't get me wrong, I love westerns and I had heard that there were some great vibes about this movie from some early festival screenings, I just hadn't found out enough about the movie to bump it up my "must-watch" list.
All of that has changed thanks to a great trailer which has a brilliant Coens feel to it all. Fassbender looks on top from as a gunslinger / assassin for hire that takes it upon himself to chaperon a teenage boy (Kodi Smit McFee) as he goes on an adventure of his own.
The trailer is full of action and a dark humour that Fassbender seems to be reveling in. The whole thing has the look of a fun and action-packed western, and could prove a rare treat in a summer packed full of superheroes. The movie should be hitting our screens in late June.
