It's been over a decade since Pixar's superhero team dazzled us all on screen, and fans of The Incredibles have never given up hope ...
The Tomorrowland director has confirmed that he is hard at work on a sequel and is fast-tracking the movie as his next project. Bird wrote and directed the original and while promoting Tomorrowland has said that there's some material he never got to explore on the first movie that he wants to revisit.
"I have pages, a bunch of pages. I have a lot of ideas for the original Incredibles that I didn't get a chance to use that I like. I have ideas that I wanted to pursue a little bit and there wasn't enough time in Incredibles. There are new ideas I have, and I think there are enough of those together to make an interesting movie. I'm just focusing on getting Tomorrowland out into the world and playing with the Incredibles sandbox again."
So, excited? You should be. With advances on CGI over the last few years and a whole decade of superhero movies to lampoon, Bird could have a bucket of fun with this sequel and it'll no doubt look gorgeous. More on the movie as we get it.
