We all know Man of Steel was a pretty bleak affair, but this darker vision of the Superman mythos bled over to the colour grading, with director Zack Snyder taking cues from Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight saga. It really wasn't a vision that suited Superman, with all the muted colours, especially the iconic red and blue suit, just looking drab.
But the talented folks at VideoLab have come to the rescue, peeling back Snyder's colour grading to reveal a much sunnier, and more appropriate, Superman movie which really pops. It is really is something quite remarkable, and tells you a lot about the current approach to DC Comic's super heroes on the big screen.
