Reuniting with Gods and Monsters director Bill Condon, Ian McKellen is stepping into the shoes of another iconic literary character with Mr. Holmes, playing the world famous sleuth in the later years of his life. The first teaser trailer shed a little light on what to expect fro the movie, but now a new trailer has come our way, giving us a great sense of what to expect.
There is a fantastic melancholy tone to Mr. Holmes that seems to suit the story perfectly, and McKellen is on top form, imbuing the character with a sly wit and a deep sense of humanity. He knocks it out of the park with every role really, but I have the feeling this could be one of his best.
