In only two short weeks, it has gone on to make $800 million, a staggering figure for any film, in any franchise. Given the fact that this movie is the seventh feature in a series about fast cars and brainless action, that number is even more impressive.
With the numbers being crunched by box-office tracker websites everywhere, it seems the movie is a cert for the magic $1 billion in the next week or so, and Fast & Furious 7 is headed for a spot near the top of the highest grossing list.
If it stays going the way it is so far, Fast & Furious 7 will finish as the 4th highest grossing movie of ALL TIME, behind only Avatar, Titanic and Avengers Assemble. Not many of us could have predicted that at the start of the year.
