With Godzilla stomping towards a $200 million gross, on the back of a budget of $160 million, in the worldwide box office (read our 5 star review here) on its opening weekend, Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures have surprised exactly zero people by confirming that they are moving forward with a sequel to Gareth Edwards' monstrous reboot. Of course, details are very thin on the ground at this stage, but I would be very surprised if Edwards is not brought back to oversee the mayhem for a second time.
