Disney's latest trend of remaking their classic cartoons in live action continues with Dumbo, with the man you could say kicked it all off with Alice in Wonderland, Tim Burton, announced to be at the helm. The project has been in development since last year, and Burton will be working from a script by Transformers: Age of Extinction's Ehren Kruger.
No doubt Burton will bring some pretty unique visuals (and maybe Johnny Depp) to the classic tale of the elephant who use his abnormally large ears to fly, which will be a mixture of live action and CGI, and will definitely tease out the darker aspects of the story. Seriously, how awesome is his take take on the pink elephants scene going to be?
Dumbo doesn't have a release date as of yet.
