Even though it is exactly one month till Avengers: Age of Ultron hits cinemas on this side of the pond (May 1st for our friends in the U.S.), Marvel Studios are setting their sites on the Earth's Mightiest Heroes third adveture, with Captain America: The Winter Soldier's The Russo Brothers signing onto direct Avengers: Infinity War Parts 1 and 2, according to Badass Digest. Due out May 2018 and May 2019 respectively, the two parter will finally see Thanos (Josh Brolin) finally make his move for the Infinity Gems, bringing him in conflict with the Avengers, and possibly the Guardians of the Galaxy, in what could be the biggest Marvel movie yet.
But with The Russo's signing on, it also means that Joss Whedon is making good on his plans to walk away from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and to work on something original, but time will tell whether Marvel can find something that will pique his interest enough to stay in the MCU. Personally, Marvel Studios couldn't have found anyone better to hand the reins of their lynchpin franchise, with the team delivering one of the best installments in the MCU since, well, The Avengers. Also, there are reports that Infinity War has ties with their next MCU installment, Captain America: Civil War, so it makes sense that they would continue on the story started with the third Cap movie.
