Following Margin Call and All is Lost, writer/director J.C Chandor returns to the big screen with A Most Violent Year, set in New York during the winter of 1981, statistically one of the most crime ridden in the city's history. Oscar Isaac and Jessica Chastain play an immigrant couple who have capitalised on the American Dream, but find the violence and corruption of the day is close to destroying all they've built. The trailer below certainly captures the time perfectly, and promises some extremely powerful performances, especially from Chastain. Check it out below.
