With the Oscar Buzz surrounding his role in Foxcatcher, and having just confirmed he will play Gambit in upcoming X-Men movies, Channing Tatum's profile has never been higher, and it continues to soar with Deadline reporting that he is talks for a major role in Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight (which almost wasn't going to happen), joining an already massive cast that includes Samuel L Jackson, Tim Roth, Bruce Dern, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Kurt Russell, and Michael Madsen. Tatum has been better than he has ever been in the last few years, and I hope he does sign on the dotted line, so we can what kind of performance he delivers under a director like Tarantino.
Production begins on the movie, telling the tale of a group of strangers forced to find shelter together during a blizzard in post-Civil War Wyoming, in early January, with the movie expected to hit cinemas sometime before the end of 2015.
