There is no denying that The LEGO Movie was huge success, and it seems Warner bros. are eager to capitalise on that success, with a Ninjago movie, based on LEGO's ninja themed line, set for release September 23rd 2016, and now word has reached us, courtesy of THR, that a LEGO Batman spin-off has being put put on the fast track. Will Arnett will reprise his role, which turned out to be one of the scene stealers (all together now, "Darkness! No Parents!"), from the original, and the movie is eyeing a 2017 release, possibly the original release date for the now delayed The LEGO Movie 2. Chris McKay, animation supervisor on the The LEGO Movie, will take on directing duties, working from a script by Dark Shadows and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter scribe Seth Grahame-Smith.
