Well, October is upon us again and along with colder weather, it also brings the horror movies hoping to cash in on this month of terror. En...
This is a film that for the most part I found was trying a bit to hard to create tenison then creating belivible characters, which is where the movie fell flat. Also, the pacing is all over the place. Everything seems to be going at a snails pace until act three and everyone just loses their minds a bit. The acting left alot to be desired, so many times I wondered if John Gordon really cared about what was happening around the house and to his wife throughout. The movie did shine at moments of utter darkest, honestly at one point I really thought they did something that would have had movie goers talking for years, but alas they let it slip pass their fingers. There is nothing really new here for horror fans, it felt like it was taking pages from Paranormal Activity and Insidious. If you've seen either you'll know what I mean after watching.
Annabelle could have been a lot more then was offered, but as it is, it starts slow and keeps that pace most of the time. If you're looking for a real scare look elsewhere.
