This looks like it could be fun, especially with a bunch of charming kids who look like they’re going to steal scene after scene. Combined with a decent “adult” cast including David Tennant, Billy Connolly and Rosamund Pike, What We Did On Our Holiday could be just what the doctor ordered to beat off the back to school blues. Written and directed by Andy Hamilton and Guy Jenkin, the plot follows a family who travel to the Scottish Highlands for a birthday party and it soon becomes clear that when it comes to keeping a secret under wraps from the rest of the family, their children are their biggest liability.
