In development for many years, the live action version of classic Japanese animation Ghost in the Shell is finally moving forward, with The Wolf of Wall Street's Margot Robbie in talks for an unspecified role, though since the lead character of the anime and original manga is a woman, Major Motoko Kusangi, this could see Robbie take her first headlining role. Set in a future where cybernetic implants are common place, Ghost in a Shell follows an elite task force tackling cyber terrorism. Snow White and the Hunts man director Rupert Sanders will helm the adaption, from a script by William Wheeler (The Hoax).
