Disney's current trend of updating their classic cartoons continues with The Jungle Book, with Jon Favreau sitting in the directors chair for a new version of the tale that mixes live action with animation. A star studded act has already been assembled, with Idris Elba voicing Shere Khan, Scarlett Johansson as python Kaa (a strange casting choice I'm totally down with), and Lupita Nyong'o taking on the role of Rakcha, Mowgli the man-cub's adopted wolf mother. Now Disney have announced another big name, with Ben Kingsley joining the project as black panther Bagheera. Now, we wait for that all important casting: Baloo. With Favreau behind the camera, and a stellar voice cast, this version of The Jungle Book should be one to look out for.
The Jungle book is set for release on October 9th 2015.
