John Michael McDonagh’s Calvary has celebrated huge success at the Irish box office since its release on April 11th, making it the most successful Irish film of 2014, with a cumulative of €1.486m to date, and the highest opening weekend figures of any Irish movie released in 2014.
Calvary is also the 5th highest grossing film to go on general release in Ireland so far in 2014, falling only behind The Lego Movie, The Wolf of Wall Street, 12 Years a Slave and The Amazing Spiderman 2,with the 4th highest opening weekend overall.
