Following up Moon and Source Code, Duncan Jones will next be taking helm of biopic of James Bond creator, Ian Fleming. Based on the Andrew Lycett's book, Ian Fleming: The Man Behind James Bond, the film will ask the question "Where did Ian Fleming end and Bond begin". Being billed as "a period action film", it will focus on his time before he became a novelist, where, as Naval Intelligence Officer in World War 2, he masterminded a number of real life military operations. It was these experiences that would inspire his most famous creation.
Jones is currently casting the film, but there are no other details available. There is a lot of potential for a very exciting and action packed story, and Jones has proved himself to be a very capable and creative director. I will definitely be keeping an eye on this project.
