In February of 1952, one of the worst storms to hit the East Coast of America struck New England, damaging an oil tanker off the coast of Cape Cod, literally ripping it in half and putting the lives of the thirty sailors on board in grave danger. What followed was the most daring rescue in Coast Guard history as a four man team set out to save them. This heroic tale is coming to the big screen with Disney’s The Finest Hours, and the first trailer promises something pretty fantastic.
First off, the cast. Chris Pine, Eric Bana, Ben Foster, Casey Affleck, Holiday Granger. Everybody involved is an incredible talent who put in exceptional performances in whatever they appear, and they promise to navigate the power and emotion of this story with ease. Also, the scale of The Finest Hours is amazing, offering a tremendous amount of tension alongside the eye popping set pieces. This movie snuck under my radar before. you better believe this isn’t the case now.
