With Napoleon Dynamite and Nacho Libre’s Jared Hess at the helm, you can expect Masterminds will get a bit silly. And even though it is based on a true story, this new trailer points to things getting very, very, VERY silly indeed.
There’s something a bit endearing about the wackiness though, and that has a lot to do with the cast, especially Zach Galifinakis who seems to turning the doofus role he is normally saddled with all the way up to eleven. This might prove a bit much for most audiences, but for those who like their comedy on the silly side, you should be well served by Masterminds.
