While we’re still a week and half out from Jurassic World rampaging onto the big screen, tracking on the highly anticipated sequel suggests an incredibly impressive $100 million plus opening weekend, so of course there are talks of further adventures featuring cloned dinosaurs and ill fated theme parks. but don’t expect director Colin Trevorrow to oversee another bout of dino infused mayhem. Speaking to BadTaste.it (and picked up by Coming Soon) at the world premiere in France, Trevorrow revealed that he would not be returning for the fourth Jurassic Park sequel, saying, “Jurassic World is like Star Wars. Different directors can give a different taste to each movie. I would be involved in some way, but not as director”.
While the two can't really be compared, Star Wars are far more story and character based than the episodic Jurassic Park movies, the jist of what he’s saying is pretty clear. Jurassic World has already given a shot in the arm to the franchise, and no doubt more adventures are on the horizon. So who would you like to take on the next instalment? Sound off below with your thoughts.
Jurassic World opens on June 12th.
