Set to come our way in 2016, Playstation platform game Ratchet and Clank is getting the animated feature film treatment, and while the games original voice cast James Arnold Taylor (Rachet), David Kaye (Clank), Armin Shimmerman (Doctor Nefarious), and Jim Ward (Captain Quark) will be reprising their roles for the big screen adventures of the young alien Lombax and his robotic pal, The Hollywood Reporter have revealed that they will be joined by some tremendous talent, with Paul Giamatti, John Goodman, Sylvester Stallone, Rosario Dawson, and Bella Thorne (The DUFF) lending their voices.
With the plot revolving around the titular pair teaming up with a group called the Galactic Rangers to save the galaxy from the evil Chairman Drex, who has gotten his hands on a dangerous weapon capable of destroying planets, it’s safe to assume that they have been cast as members of the Rangers, though I can’t shake the feeling Giamatti could be playing Drex. He plays good bad guys.
Ratchet and Clank is set for release sometime in 2016.
