Pretty much the European flip side of The French Connection, real life, 70's set thriller The Connection, or La French as it is know in it's native France, sees Jean DuJardin as investigating magistrate Pierre Michel who puts his own safety to one side as he sets out to take down The French Connection, a mafia organisation that exports heroin out of Marseilles to the rest of the world, and it's leader Gatëan Zampa (Gilles Lellouche).
This new international trailer promises a slick and incredibly tense throwback to the crime thrillers of the 1970's, helped immensely by being shot on 35mm, which gives it that really gritty feel. It's being a long since any movie has evoked the tone and feeling of that era's crime thrillers, and I have every feeling that The Connection won't fail to deliver.
