After the new trailer debuted a few weeks, we'd do just about anything to be one of the first people to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens before it's worldwide release on December 18th. But, no matter what we do, it will never compare to what Matt Kingsnorth and Phil St. Pier did in a bid to snag an invite to the premiere. Playing on JJ Abrams affinity for practical effects, the Essex natives strapped a model X-Wing to a high-altitude weather balloon, equipped with a GoPro camera, and launched it into the sky. The preceding video, complete with their plea in the form of the classic Star Wars crawl is nothing short of spectacular.
You've got to hand it to the lads, they really thought outside the box, and the atmosphere. Now, time will tell if their bid will bear any fruit.
