Roland Emmerich's return to epic monument destruction with Independence Day 2 already has quite a cast, with Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman, Jessie Usher, Vivica A. Fox, Judd Hirsch, Joey King, Liam Hemsworth, Charlotte Gainsbourg, and Travis Tope all signed onto the long awaited sequel. Now, the cast grows by one, with The Guest and It Follow's Maika Monroe in an unspecified role. Monroe has shown a lot of talent and promise on the indie scene, so it's good to see she's making the jump to the mainstream.
Absolutely nothing is known about what the sequel has in store for us, but with the sequel currently shooting, we'll no doubt hear more in the coming weeks and months.
Independence Day 2 is set for release June 24th 2016, almost twenty years after the original.
