With the Internet seemingly over run with everything Avengers: Age of Ultron lately, you would be forgiven if you forgot that Marvel Studios have more movies coming. One of those is the first solo outing for female Marvel Comics superhero, with Air Force security chief turned cosmic adventurer Captain Marvel getting her own movie in 2018. While we're still pretty far away from the project fully coming together, a writing team has been announced, with Guardians of the Galaxy's Nicole Perlman and the upcoming Inside Out's Meg LaFauve coming on board to pen the alter ego of Carol Danvers' big screen adventure. Perlman makes sense since Captain Marvel is said to be a mixture of the earthbound and cosmic elements of the MCU, and her and LaFauve's involvement does point to something offbeat and humourous.
Rumours were doing the rounds recently that Captain Marvel would be turning up in Avengers: Age of Ultron, but Marvel Studios Kevin Feige recently confirmed that, while it was once considered, she won't be making an appearance. Her first appearance will be when Captain Marvel hits cinemas nd November 2018.
