Joe Carnahan, one of the most ballsy directors doing his thing at the minute, has decided on his next project after hitting so many stumbling blocks on getting his last movie, Stretch, distributed.
Motorcade will see Carnahan return to directing for a studio, namely Dreamworks, in a movie that was probably pitched as Olympus Has Fallen on wheels. When POTUS is attacked as he makes his way across Los Angeles, the only person who can save him is a disgraced former Secret Service agent (naturally) who is in the wrong place at the right time.
Carnahan's CV suggest he's perfect for this, considering the vehicular mayhem in Stretch, The A-Team and the all out action of Smokin' Aces. If it were up to me I'd throw all of the budget at getting The Rock on board and push for a hard 18's proper action movie. Let us know who you want to see as the Jack Bauer type lead for this.
