For the longest time it was known as Guy Ritchies' King Arthur movie, but now that cameras have started rolling, the name has been officially revealed as Knights of the Round Table. The director has taken to Twitter to take us behind the scenes of the first day's shoot, giving us a good look at Charlie Hunnam in the lead role as Arthur, the once and future king of Britain.
Knights of the Round Table is expected to kick off a six film franchise, so expect a lot to be riding on this first installment. From the above image, it is definitely clear Ritchie is going for a gritty take on the legend, reminiscent of his approach to the Sherlock Holmes movies, with Arthur re-envisioned a the member of a street gang running out of the back alleys of Londinium, teaming with a resistance movement to take on tyrant Vortigern (Jude Law), who has stolen the crown. Ritchie handling big budget projects has always been entertaining, so expect the same with Knights of the Round Table.
