So, what exactly are we looking at? Well, Singer didn't really explain, labelling the image 'Some production art', but the popular theory is that we are actually looking at Ship, a sentient starship that, in the comics, figures greatly into the origins of Oscar Isaac's titular villain. While we have no idea what Singer and script writers Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Days of Future Past), and Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris (X-Men 2) have in store for us, it's safe to assume they'll be mixing some new ideas and twists in with big chunks of Apocalypse's comic book history when bringing the highly anticipated character to the big screen big screen.
X-Men: Apocalypse is released 27th May 2016.
