Kristen Wiig leads a solid cast, including Tim Robbins, Joan Cusack, Wes Bentley, and James Marsden, in Welcome to Me as Alice Kleig, a young woman with Borderline Personality Disorder who wins the lottery. Off her meds and inspired by Oprah, she buys a talk show with her winnings, using it as a platform to broadcast her unique views on life to the rest of the world.
Welcome to Me certainly has an interesting hook, and the trailer does have a nice line in gentle, slightly zany humour, but it all feels a little one-note, and I have to wonder if it can hold itself together for it's full runtime.
