Rhianna and Jim Parsons lend their voices to Dreamworks Animations' Home (based on the children's book The True Meaning of Smekday), and we've got the first clip and a host of pretty clever posters for your viewing pleasure. The tone of this seems to fall somewhere in the middle between How to Train Your Dragon and Madagascar, and is utterly charming because of it.
Parsons, as alien Oh, may seem like he's playing a more cuddly version of his famous creation, The Big Bang Theory's Dr. Sheldon Cooper, but it works, and no doubt kids will get a real kick out of this.
Released: March 20th (IRL/U.K.)/March 27th (U.S.)
Synopsis: When Oh, a loveable misfit from another planet, lands on Earth and finds himself on the run from his own people, he forms an unlikely friendship with an adventurous girl named Tip who is on a quest of her own. Through a series of comic adventures with Tip, Oh comes to understand that being different and making mistakes is all part of being human. And while he changes her planet and she changes his world, they discover the true meaning of the word HOME.
