There's been quite a number of casting announcements over the last few weeks, and here's one more, with Variety announcing that Eastenders star Ben Hardy has joined the cast of Bryan Singer's wrap up to the trilogy started with X-Men: First Class. He will be joining other newcomers Kodi Smit-Mcphee, Alexandra Shipp, Tye Sheridan (playing the young Cyclops, a role Hardy was previously on the shortlist for), Sophie Turner, and Oscar Isacc, as the titular villain, alongside the returning Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, and Jennifer Lawrence. There is no word on who Hardy will be playing, but the role is said to be 'significant' to the X-Men universe. With no idea of where the story is going, and over three hundred characters introduced in the X-Men comics to choose from, there's really no way at this time who he'll be playing.
X-Men: Apocalypse hits cinemas May 27th 2016.
