The special event live from the 007 stage at Pinewood Studios has just ended, and now the title for the twenty fourth James Bond movie has been revealed to us: Spectre. If any James Bond fans are feeling giddy that should be because that is the acronym for SPecial Executive for Counter-Intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion, an organisation who gave the super spy lots of trouble back in the early Bond movies. Director Sam Mendes did allude to the organisation's history, but stopped short of announcing they would appear. But I think it's a safe bet that they will in some shape or form.
Beyond the title, the Aston Martin DB10 was revealed to be Bond's new motor for the movie, and the returning cast from Skyfall consists of Daniel Craig, (of course), Ralph Fiennes, Rory Kinnear, Naomie Harris, and Ben Whishaw. The new cast is made up of Andrew Scott (known to the world as Moriarty in Sherlock) as Denbigh, Drax himself, Dave Bautista, as Mr. Hinx, Blue is the Warmest Colour's Lea Seydoux as Madeleine Swann, Monica Bellicci as Lucia Sciarra, and Christoph waltz as big bad Oberhauser (not classic villain Blofeld as was rumoured).
With a release date set for November 6th 2015, production begins on Spectre on Monday December 8th, and will take in locations that include Pinewood London, Mexico City, Rome, Tangier and Austria.
