Even though they have plenty of dramatic roles under their belts, it's still strange that the next time we'll see Jonah Hill and James Franco on screen together will be in a true life crime drama. That's exactly what the Rupert Goold directed True Story, based on the memoir of journalist Michael Finkel (Hill), who, during the course of an investigation, came face to face with accused killer Christian Longo (Franco), who had been hiding out using Finkel's identity. Thanks to Fox Searchlight, we have our first look at the movie, ahead of it's trailer debut on Thursday, and it's certainly promising. Sure, the two actors are best known for their comedy roles, but this should definitely see them showing off their impressive dramatic chops.
Following it's debut in January at the Sundance Film Festival, True Story receives a limited release in the U.S. April 10th. No word yet on an international release.
