For a "comedy-caper-love-story", Glenn Ficara and John Requa's (Crazy, Stupid, Love) Focus is a lot more serious than expected, with laughs very thin on the ground. Will Smith and Margot Robbie seem to have a good chemistry, and while the more comedic Smith slips through every now and again, he does bring the appropriate weight to the role.
