The Hateful Eight has had a rough start to it's production, with Quentin Tarantino threatening to shelve his return to the Western genre after the first draft of the script was leaked by Gawker last year. Thankfully, Tarantino never went ahead with his threats, and the film heads in front of the camera in January, with Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Dern, Kurt Russell, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, and Walter Goggins rumoured to be taking part in the tale of eight strangers holed up in cabin during a blizzard in post-Civil War Wyoming. The release date for the movie has been set for Autumn 2015, with Tarantino proclaiming it will be 'the widest 70mm release in over 20 years' with the film being released in the higher resolution 70mm format, with a 35mm and digital releases following shortly after. Any Tarantino movie immediately goes on my must-see list, and the prospect of seeing it on the best quality format possible makes it jump even higher.
