Pride, Prejudice, and Zombies is finally making moves to the big screen, after what feels like an eternity in development hell, with filming set to begin today. Directed by Burr Steers, the cast for the Jane Austen/zombie mash up has had its cast, which includes Lily James, Sam Riley, Douglas Booth, Jack Huston, and Matt Smith, in place for a while, but now it grows by two, with Game of Thrones' Lena Headey and Charles Dance joining the project in unspecified roles. This definitely gives a higher profile to a project that has been years in development
On top of that, it has also been announced that Screen Gems have picked up the U.S. distribution rights for the movie. So the project is finally on track, and we'll all finally get the chance to see what Austen's tale of manners and class looks like spiced up with zombie attacks.
