Culture Night is nearly upon us once again and the Triskel Christchurch have a pretty full day and evening lined up. Partnering with Cork City Council to programme Lisa Hannigan for the annual secret gig, they’re also collaborating with the Cork Film Festival to screen the best of their 2013 shorts.
“Culture Night is one of the highlights of the Triskel Christchurch calendar,” says Tony Sheehan, Director of Triskel Arts Centre. “It is brilliant to be part of such a vibrant cultural city whose arts community, year on year, pull out all the stops to make Culture Night a big hit.”
James Mullighan, director at Cork Film Festival is looking forward to collaborating with Triskel on Culture Night. “Shorts @ CFF is one of my favourite things about the Cork Film Festival,” he says, “bringing little gems out into the open for Cork audiences and showing them something that goes on under their very noses, but they perhaps don't ordinarily get to see. We're thrilled to be collaborating with Triskel Christchurch again, putting front and centre the very best of shorts programming from the 2013 Festival."
Also screening at Triskel Christchurch Cinema is Beatles film A Hard Days Night and they round off the evening with a surprise Horror screening.
