For a while you couldn't say either Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg, or Nick Frost's name, without mentioning the other two, the Cornetto trilogy making the trio synonymous with each other. Once the trilogy ended with The World's End, it was accepted they would go their separate ways, but fans still held out hope that it wasn't the last time they would team together. Well, it seems that hope wasn't unfounded, with Pegg telling BBC Radio 6 Music that plan are in motion for another collaboration with Wright. "Edgar and I were having a conversation the other day about it, and it has a title and everything. We've all got different things on, and we know we have to get those things done. The coming-together thing is without question on the table, and will happen when we can do it." Pegg has Star Trek and Mission: Impossible 5 on his plate, and Wright is committed to Baby Driver and it's follow-up, Grasshopper Jungle, so another team up from them will probably be a ways off, but it is good to know it's on the cards.
Pegg went on to say, "When we said the trilogy was over, it was because that group of films was over. They're all kind of related with each other and deal with a specific idea. There's a criteria to those films. The next thing we do won't do that, it will just be something else. It will happen. We made three films in ten years, and hopefully we in the nest decade we'll make another three. I really love working with those guys, and I wouldn't ever not to want to not work with them. It's not even a question." While he doesn't out right say it, I say we can rightly assume this new team up will have Nick Frost involved as well. No matter when we see it, I for one can't wait.
